Maple was a special rescue canine who served the State of Florida for almost five years as an Electronic Storage Detection canine. She helped put dozens of sex offenders in prison and played a large part in community affairs. As life sometimes does though, she had a monkey wrench thrown in her career and on her happy journey she was diagnosed with multicentric T cell Lymphoma in September of 2022. She went through chemotherapy at Auburn University and achieved remission for almost six months before the cancer reared its ugly head again. She fought hard for another eight months going through different treatment options at Auburn University and all the while she loved coming to work and still doing her job. Maple passed away on April 17, 2024, surrounded by those that loved her dearly.
As her handler, I spent many days at Auburn with Maple and was lucky enough to be able to afford the treatment there that blessed her with eighteen months post diagnosis. I got to see just how many dogs came there for treatment and the amazing staff that cares so dearly for all the dogs and treat them like family. I felt the best way to honor Maple was to pay it forward and allow others to help afford cancer treatment for their furry loved ones.
As of now, Maple's Miracles will sponsor one dog annually and pay for their chemotherapy treatments at Auburn for one entire treatment plan. These plans are typically six months long and entail chemotherapy treatments and medicine at home. The average cost of this ranges from $5,000-$7,000.
Dog Barn It gives 80% of any commission to the Maple's Miracles fund and 100% of merch sale proceeds go towards the fund as well.

SHADOW
Shadow's story began six years ago when he was brought home by his most loving parents, Jenna and Ryan, as a small puppy with his other fur sibling. He has lived his life with much love and care as one of his fur parents first type of children and thoroughly enjoys snow (when he can find it), scratches, a good brush session to keep his coat nice and smooth, a comfy pillow for his head on the softest of beds and a nice cold surface in the house (colder the better). He lives his life in Georgia with his human family and loves the new human children he was blessed with that are always a captive audience that love to love on him. Shadow's family describes him as one of the most perfect gentlemen that is a true family "man" and the apple of their eye.
Shadow began to show signs of not feeling the best in September of 2024 and his family immediately jumped into action to find out what was wrong. Their veterinary journey led them to Auburn University where Shadow and his family received the sad news that he has T cell Lymphoma. Although the news was devastating, Shadow is a true fighter and he has a family that loves him more than anything and will be in his corner fighting his fight with him. The Auburn staff of course is rooting for Shadow and ready to give him the best care possible and the best fighting chance to continue to live his beautiful life with his family.
Shadow began his chemotherapy journey on October 7, 2024, when he started the LOPP protocol. Shadow officially graduated from chemotherapy on March 25, 2025. We appreciate everyone that stayed #shadowstrong and helped achieve the goal of his remission! This is a HUGE celebration!! We are so proud to have Shadow as our first Maple's Miracles sponsored dog and he will always be a part of our family now.
Shadow fought hard for 18 months thanks to those that helped support his journey. He fell out of remission and continued to fight but on January 10, 2026, Shadow passed away surrounded by his loving family and fur sister. For those that understand how vicious T cell lymphoma is, 18 months is a great achievement post diagnosis and Shadow was able to enjoy so much more of life and love thanks to Auburn, his family, and all of those that helped donate. His family will forever be a part of the Maple's Miracles' family and Shadow will always be remembered as an ambassador for us. As you read this, please take a moment and think of Shadow and all the dogs and families that are going through the Lymphoma journey.
Rest Easy Shadow and lets all keep the mentality of staying Shadow Strong
We are currently keeping an eye out for our SECOND Maple's Miracles sponsored pup with the help of Auburn University Oncology staff. Please keep the donations and purchases coming as we save up to sponsor the next amazing fur baby around March of 2026!
